Robert Jon Gladfelder
January 2nd, 1964 - October 24th, 2025
"Death is that state in which one exists only in the memory of others. Which is why it is not an end. No goodbyes. Just good memories." - Tasha Yar, Star Trek: Next Generation
Robert Jon Gladfelder, 61, passed away on October 24th, 2025, after a prolonged illness.
Robert was born on January 2nd, 1964, in Portland, Oregon, to John Clifford and Sammy Jean. He grew up in Portland with siblings Debbie, Randy, David, Garth, Lisa, Trisha, and Tracie. Robert married Teresa Landgrebe in 1989, and together they made their home in Clackamas.
For more than 40 years, Robert worked as an appliance repair technician, ending his career at Standard TV & Appliance. He took great pride in his work and supporting his family.
Robert was happiest in the mountains. A dedicated outdoorsman, he loved fishing at Promontory Park, camping with the family, and target shooting with his sons. His most treasured role was being “Papa” to his six grandchildren. They were the greatest source of light and joy in his life.
Robert was preceded in death by his father John Gladfelder, stepfather Bill Eaton, and brothers Randy and Garth Gladfelder.
He is survived by his mother, Sammy Eaton; his wife, Teresa Gladfelder; his children, Cami and Jeremy Swick, Samantha and Jack Whitchurch, & Jon and Aubrey Gladfelder; his grandchildren, Tyson, Ian, Kyle, Benjamin, Addison, and Sophie; his siblings, Debra Stanley, David Gladfelder, Marlisa Michaelis, Trisha Penner, and Tracie Gladfelder; and many nieces and nephews that loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to enjoy the outdoors in Robert’s memory – cast a line, sit by a fire, or take a walk around the neighborhood with those you love most.
