Beckman-Williamson Funeral Homes & Crematory - Cocoa Beach
Richard "Rick" E Rohrmann
March 23rd, 1963 - October 31st, 2025
Feisty till the end.
I am so sad to share this news-
My love, my husband, my everything, Rick Rohrmann 62, of Cocoa Beach drifted away this morning, October 31, 2025-he was surrounded by all the cosmic love of family & many friends -
He lived with devotion, curiosity, and kindness. Born on March 23, 1963, in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the beloved son of the late Jill and George Sr., and the cherished brother of the late George Jr. He is survived by his sister, Ginny, and her husband Bill, and their pup Mason, who continue to reside in Newark, Delaware.
A proud graduate of the University of Delaware, Rick remained closely connected to his hometown and treasured the lifelong friendships (fun stories) he made there and throughout his college years. His inquisitive nature and gentle spirit made him a true friend to many. From a young age, he found his peace and purpose in nature. He was a sportsman who loved the quiet sanctuaries of woods and water. Nature was, in many ways, his religion—its rhythms and beauty guided his life.
In 1986, he began a remarkable career with WDW in the Horticulture Division where his strong work ethic, kindness, and sensitivity earned the admiration of colleagues and friends alike. It was during this time that we met, and from the beginning, he was always finding ways to make life beautiful. Our love story spanned over 23 years before we married in 2009, a proposal he made in front of Cinderella Castle—ever the romantic. Together we built a life of comfort & joy to share with many! —I reaped the benefits of his deep love, woods & water, and everything in between…. I cherish that!
He was a devoted dog lover, a loyal friend, and a man of humor, cleverness, and quiet strength.
His gentle heart, curiosity, and generosity of spirit made him not only an amazing husband but also my very best friend.
He now joins his parents, Jill and George Sr., and his brother George Jr- along with all our pups… finally finding comfort & peace after a diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer in 2024.
Though our hearts are broken, we remain grateful for the gift of his love, the joy he brought into this world, and the beautiful life we shared.
“Feisty till the end,” you sure were!
Rest peacefully Rickster, until we meet again!
