Naoma Katherine Allen was born August 28,1934 and passed away on September 13, 2025.She was 91 years old
She was born in McDonald, Kansas to Mr. Francis E and Lillian D. (Dungan) Burchett. She spent most of her life in Kansas and Colorado.
She graduated from Grand Junction High School in Grand Junction, Colorado where she spent most of her adult life as a mother/grandmother /great grandmother to:
Virgil Wade Erwin (son)
Gale Wayne Erwin (son)
Kevin Emerson Lawrence (son)
Caren M. Weishaupl (daughter)
Alicia Marie Mabrey (grand daughter)
Ambyr Zahner (Weishaupl) (grand daughter)
AJ Weishaupl (grand son)
Lily Sue Mabrey (great grand daughter)
Averie Marie Mabrey (great grand daughter)
She worked as a homemaker, waitress, baker, bookkeeper, bar tender, restaurant manager for Powderhorn Ski resort, and Restaurant Manager for Walker Field Airport.
She was preceded in death by her husband (Roger Allen), parents (Francis and Lillian Burchett), brother (Melvin Gene Burchett), and sister (Florence Franklin)
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (Post 595)
She raised multiple farm animals such as: horses, pigs, cows, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, dogs and cats.
She had a special way with horses (she would stand at the fence and shake a coffee can of oats) and all the horses and cows would come running)
She had a 1957 chevy station wagon that she used as an ambulance from ski resort to main highway for regular ambulance.
