Jo Anne Dunne Golden, 74, of Cayce, passed away November 8, 2025, at Colonial Gardens Memory Center.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, November 13, 2025, beginning at 1 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Augusta Road, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens.
Jo Anne was the daughter of the late John B. and Doris Brannon Dunne. She was a graduate of Airport High School, Class of 1969. After graduation, she worked in banking until the birth of her children. Once the boys were of school age, Jo Anne worked as a teacher’s aide in the Lexington 2 School District.
She was a loving wife and mother, always willing to help others with a smile on her face.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara Redick and Donna Kropp; brother, Michael Dunne; and nephew, Chris Dunne. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert “Bobby” W. Golden; sons, Troy (Johanna), Alex (Sheryl), and Brian (Keli); grandchildren, Paige, Connor, Evan, Malin, Colby, Caleb, and Parker; and sisters-in-law Gail Brazelle and Carol Howell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 640, Columbia, SC 29210.
