It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Brenda Lynn Gray who passed on October 22, 2025, after her lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer in Lacey, WA. 

 There will be a celebration of Life in spring of 2026 details will be posted as plans become finalized!

Brenda was born to parents William and Joyce Wilcox on May 15, 1960, in Yakima, WA,

and moved to Seattle in 1978 to attend the UW, she eventually moved to Bellevue Community College to enroll in their RN program where she graduated in 1982, soon after graduation she was hired by Providence ST Peter Hospital where she worked for 40+years, where she was loved and respected by her coworkers.

She Married Dennis Gray whom she had dated since 1977

They were married in Yakima Washington on June 30th, 1979

The couple moved to Lacey Washington in 1983

and raised two children

She loved the Oregon Beach, the simple pleasures of spending time with her two grandchildren, attending book club, gardening, traveling, and getting together with Her family and many friends!

Brenda leaves behind Her loving spouse of 46 years Dennis Gray of Lacey, WA, Son Matthew Gray of Centralia, WA, Daughter Angela Ames and son in law Matt Ames of Lacey, WA and two wonderful grandchildren, additionally Doug Wilcox of Jacksonville, FL (brother), Donna Coble of Mattawa, WA (sister), and Mother Joyce Wilcox of East Wenatchee.

She is proceeded in death by her father William Wilcox and grandparents Ernie Tobius, Ruth Tobius, and Wanda Wilcox.

 

Brenda had a great capacity for love and friendship. She leaves behind many friends and family members and her love of fun, laughter and joy that she shared with all around her will be deeply missed. Our hearts are broken at her passing, but we are thankful she is free from pain and suffering.

 

The family is asking that any donations be sent to organizations that help in the research and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
