Louise Ann Wyhopen (nee Pasquino) of Hilton Head Island, SC, formally of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, Roxbury, NJ and Clifton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on November 6th after her battle with cancer. She was 70.
Louise was born to Catherine (nee Rowan) and Louis Pasquino, Jr. on August 22, 1955, in Woodbury NJ. She attended Glouster Catholic High School where she graduated in 1973. She went on to study nursing at William Paterson University where she achieved her RN and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. William Paterson University is also where she met the love of her life, Gerald, who became her husband of 39 years.
As an RN, her main concentration was in obstetrics, after which, she focused on medical education in the pharmaceutical industry. She was also a seamstress in her spare time, even owning her own store, where she designed and made wedding and bridesmaid dresses. Many of Louises pastime activities included playing mahjong, golf, traveling and especially going to Disney.
Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Gerald M. Wyhopen. She is survived by her children; Gerald M., Jr. and his wife Roxanne, Geoffrey and his wife Sharon, and Caitlin Wyhopen. She was a loving grandmother of Trent, Zara, Luke, Jake, Mason and Elliot; and dear sister of Rosemary Pasquino, Catherine Pasquino, and Louis Pasquino III and his wife Robin.
A viewing will be held at The Island Funeral Home, 4 Cardinal Rd., Hilton Head Island, on Monday, November 17th from 3pm to 5pm. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Francis by the Sea on Tuesday, November 18th at 10am.
