She is survived by her husband Ray Johnson, sons Dan Johnson and Loren Johnson (Diana), grandchildren Keggan Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Brett Johnson and Kelsey Gillispie (Brandon) and two great grandchildren and sisters Terri Wright and Sharon Flannery and brother Stephen Thomas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernie and Beth Thomas, sons Ricky and Mike and sister Mary Martinson and brother Jim Thomas.
Beve was born in Spokane, WA moving to Auburn in 1940. She was the oldest of six children. She attended school in Auburn graduating in 1957 and spent one year at Seattle University. She and Ray got married in 1959. Ray was in the Air Force and was deployed to Great Falls, MT where they lived for a year before returning to Auburn. Beve worked as a Meat Wrapper starting at Nelson’s Grocery in west Auburn when she was 16 years old. Beve and Ray moved to Tenino with their 3 sons in 1970 and lived there until the boys graduated from high school. They moved back to the Auburn area and purchased a home in the Lake Tapps area. Beve continued as a meat wrapper until she retired in 1995. She then started working at Emerald Hills Elementary in Sumner as a para-educator for a few years.
Beve enjoyed gardening specially filling all her flowerpots full of flowers on her deck from spring to fall and enjoyed going to the casino. There will be a Celebration of Life at their home next spring. If you’re interested in attending, please contact her sister Sharon at [email protected] for more information.
