Linda L. White
September 26th, 1941 - November 14th, 2025
Linda Louise White (nee Martin), 84, went home to her Savior Jesus on Nov. 14, 2025. Linda was born Sept. 26, 1941, the oldest child of Alfred and Wilma (Schwartz) Martin on the family farm in Franklin, WI. She was baptized on Oct. 12, 1941 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Franklin. Linda attended and graduated 8th grade from St. Paul’s Lutheran School and was confirmed in her Christian faith on Apr. 3, 1955 at St. Paul’s. She attended Greendale High School for several years, but her family moved to Hebron during her senior year. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1959. Linda was very active in her church attending worship and Bible classes, and she served as a Sunday School teacher and Lutheran Girl Pioneer leader for many years. She loved cats, enjoyed camping (especially at Pine Ridge), and visiting with everyone. Despite having MS for 45 years, Linda always had a positive attitude and looked forward to the day when she would walk and dance in heaven.
Linda married the love of her life, James White, on June 4, 1960 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Franklin. They lived in Franklin, Oak Creek, Caledonia, and retired in Fort Atkinson, WI. Together they had three sons, Robert (Linda) of Waterloo, IA, Kenneth (Debra) of East Troy, and David (Catherine) of Fort Atkinson.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, her nine grandchildren: Tristan (Sarah), Ardis, Steven (Kailey), Erik (Allexus), Daniel (Meghan), Ryan, Tyler (Michaela), Timothy (Alice), and Samantha (fiance Ken). Linda is further survived by her eight great-grandchildren: Martin, Ross, Nash, Maverick, Jackson, Gideon, Naomi, and Florence, and by her siblings Jeanette Wenzel, Ronald (Martha), Marilyn (William) Bauer, Richard (Sharon), and Laura (Michael) McKee, sisters-in-law Ruth White and Carol White, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim; her sister, Ellyn and brother-in-law, Larry Kehl; brothers-in-law, George and Thomas White; a niece, and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson at 11 am on Friday, Nov. 21, with visitation starting at 10 am until the time of the service. Internment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery following the service. Lunch will be served after at Bethany.
The family would like to thank long time caretakers Marge and Mary Jo, Reena Memory Care staff, and Commonheart Hospice for all their care and support.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Nitardy Funeral Home- Fort Atkinson.

We Entrusted Linda White's Care To
Nitardy Funeral Homes - Fort Atkinson
We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community for over 90 years, when Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. In 1984, his son Russ knew it was time to offer professional, compassionate services to the Fort Atkinson community, and we constructed a new funeral home to address its needs. We feel so fortunate to be a part of the community, and have grown our family alongside the community for three generations....
