Jean Marie Daniels, 96, of Columbia and Lexington, South Carolina, went home to be with her Savior on November 15, 2025.
Jean, daughter of the late Earl and Annabelle Snyder, was born in Trenton, New Jersey on January 17, 1929. She moved from New Jersey to the Midlands of South Carolina after she married the love of her life, Abel A. “Al” Daniels, Jr. They were married for 66 years. Together, they were active members of Rosewood, North Trenholm, and Temple Baptist Churches. Jean was a homemaker for many years, then became an attendance secretary for Richland District #2 for 22 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Dickerson (Barry) of Manassas, Virginia and Sharie Cato (Eddie) of Lexington, South Carolina; grandchildren, Brett Dickerson (Becky), Carrie Dellinger (Justin), Jennie Church (Matt), Michael Dickerson (Sheena), Sarah Fender (Trey), Laura Greene (Kevin), and Bekah Rader (Josh); 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
A graveside funeral service will be led by the Rev. Mack McDowell of Lexington United Methodist Church on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Hopkins, South Carolina.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lexington Medical Center 6th-North, MSA Hospice, Carolina Gardens of Lexington (now Spring Oak Senior Living at Lexington,) and NHC Healthcare-Lexington, especially the Jasmine Unit and Pam Riley, CNA, for the compassionate and loving care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Epworth Children’s Home, PO Box 50466, Columbia, SC 29250.
