Terris Deas Padgett, age 74, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, November 17, 2025, at her home in West Columbia, SC. She was born on April 22, 1951, in Columbia, SC to Mary Lou and Otis Risinger. She was a graduate of Eau Claire High School in Columbia.

 

She has been the Pastor of River of Life Christian Fellowship Church (formerly Church on the Rock) for the past 18 years. Terris truly lived for the Lord. She often said that "God is No. 1 in my life". Terris reached people in truly deep and positive ways. So many of her church members have said how much Pastor Terris has taught them over the years.

 

Terris is survived by her husband, Luther "Doc" Padgett, a brother, Danny Risinger, a son, Michael Devanie Johnson, a daughter, Laura Cunningham, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

Family and church members whose lives she touched so deeply are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm at River of Life Christian Fellowship Church, 2501 Leaphart

Road, West Columbia, SC 29169.
