Cassandra "Cassie" Ann Biddix

Cassandra "Cassie" Ann (Blazer) Biddix passed away on October 31st 2025 at Atrium Health Center in Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 53.

Cassie was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin and grew up in Atlanta Georgia, but spent most of her adult years in Western North Carolina where she worked hard and raised a family. Cassie loved animals and often took in the abandoned or sick to nurse them back to health and find them forever homes (even if that meant it was her own). Cassie was incredibly creative and had a knack for creating something out of nothing whether it be with cooking or repurposing items.   

Though sick for much of recent years, she was still there for others as often as possible and retained her famous no nonsense demeanor until the end. To know Cassie was to trust in her.   

Cassie is preceeded in death by her son, Jacob Cain Biddix; mother, Betty Sue Blazer; and father Paul Cleveland Blazer.  She is survived by daughter, Devon LeeAnn Biddix; step-son, Kayden Davis; husband, William Frank Davis; sister Rena Diane Blazer; and brother Kenneth Russell Blazer.  

Her ashes will be laid to rest at Berry Baptist Church Cemetery in Spruce Pine, which can be visited any time.
