Betty Fay Heppler (61) passed away at her home on Sunday, November 9, 2025,surrounded by family and friends, after a fight with cancer.Betty was born in Grants, New Mexico on August 4th, 1964, to George and Frances (Frankie)Heppler- the 3rd of 5 children. As a child, she moved with her family to the south valley of Albuquerque, NM where she resided for the rest of her life. Betty was extremely creative. In 1993 she opened a family-owned flower shop, “Family Flowers”, with her mother and sister Kay. She was a master at creating decorations with balloons, being able to turn them into anything to fit the theme to a party. Even after the flower shop closed in 2010, she was always there to help out family and friends with decorating for all their events. Birthdays, graduations, weddings, she was there with the ballons and flowers, putting everyone to work on what she had designed. Betty always enjoyed living life to the fullest. She was always ready to go “Play” with her family or friends. She travelled as much as she could to as many places as she could. Always ready for the next adventure, she enjoyed playing cards, and teaching everyone how to play her favorite dice game everywhere she went- all while infecting them with her contagious iconic laugh. She loved her family, close and far, always excited to meet newrelatives she had never met before and making them feel loved. Most of the friends she had were her friends for many, many years, which is such a testament to how good of a friend she was. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, George and Frankie HepplerBetty is survived by her brothers, Dale (Denise), Joe (Ava), and Don; her sister Kay (James) Brown; her nieces, Sara Heppler, Audra Vigil, and Candi Heppler; her nephews, Curtis (Brit) and Justin (Bailey) Heppler; and her great nephews, Thomas Vigil III, Joseph Vigil, and Turner Heppler.
