It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Lib” Hall DeFravio, who departed this world on November 16, 2025, at the age of 96 in her beloved Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on July 8, 1929, to John & Eveyln Hall, Lib was a woman of remarkable spirit, whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.
Lib dedicated a significant portion of her life to her career at AT&T, where she served with diligence and commitment for over 30 years. Lib was a member of Hickory Grove UMC. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lib was a treasured sister and friend. She shared an unbreakable bond with her sisters JoAnn, Carolyn, Dot, and Brenda, cherishing the moments they spent together, particularly their cherished sister’s beach trips. An avid reader, Lib, found joy in the pages of her favorite books. Though she was not a morning person, her days were filled with quiet joy, often spent walking through the mall and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Lib was preceded in death by her Husband Joe DeFravio, stepson David DeFravio, both parents Mr. John & Evelyn Hall, and her brother Jay Hall.
Left to cherish her memories are her sisters JoAnn Young, Carolyn Smith, Dot Caudle, and Brenda Cates; Stepchildren Sheri Barkley, Joe DeFravio, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who will forever remember her warmth and gentle spirit.
Lib's Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 29th, at 2 PM at The Road Church, located at 13700 Lawyers Road Mint Hill, NC 28227.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Road Church 13700 Lawyers Road Mint Hill, NC 28227 c/o Elizabeth DeFravio, and Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte 7845 Little Ave, Charlotte NC 28226.

Our services are crafted to honor your loved ones in ways that are both deeply meaningful and healing. Our rich history began in 1946 when Irvin W. Hankins and James B. Whittington took the reins of the Crouch Funeral Home. The growth of our service and the community's support led to our move in March 1963 to the current location—once St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, built in 1930. Our chapel, a cherished historic landmark within the storied Dilworth neighborhood, is renowned for being the only funeral home in Charlotte graced with its own chapel, echoing with decades of history and serenity....
