Earl Douglas Taylor left this world to be with the Lord on 11/15/2025. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
A native of Saks, Alabama, Earl attended Saks High School as a member of their initial graduating class and was a tackle on their football team. He graduated from Jacksonville State University and the FBI National Academy.
He had a lifetime of public service, beginning in the Navy, then going on to become a Lieutenant with the Anniston, Alabama Police Department, and later a Federal Investigator.
Earl is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kay, his son, Chris, and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jackson Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alma Taylor, and his children, Patrick Douglas Taylor and Leslie Kay Taylor.
