Obituary for Nina Jean Sires
On November 11, 2025, the world lost and Heaven gained radiant soul, Nina Jean Sires, who graced life with her warmth and love. Born on May 4, 1932, in Picher, Oklahoma, Nina’s journey began in a small town that nurtured the roots of her kind spirit.
Nina's life's journey took her to Wapato, Concord, CA, Kent, Shelton and Tumwater WA where her creative talents blossomed. She pursued a career in retail sales while simultaneously sharing her artistry as a beloved ceramic and painting artisan. Known for her exquisite paintings that brought joy to many, her talent was not just a vocation but a heartfelt expression of her love for life.
Nina's heart was beautifully intertwined with her faith. A devoted member of the Nazarene Church in Olympia, Washington, she exemplified her love for Jesus Christ through her generous spirit, offering comforting hugs and radiant smiles to everyone she encountered. She embraced every opportunity to connect with others, leaving a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
Her passions extended beyond her artistic pursuits; she was affectionately known as the "Queen Bee" of the Red Hats in Shelton, Washington, where she formed cherished friendships and shared joy with her fellow members. Nina also enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow art enthusiasts as a member of the Art Association of Kent, Washington, and delighted in the rhythmic joy of Western dancing.
Nina’s legacy is marked by the love she shared with her family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald R. Sires, her daughter, Ninola M. Schneidt, her parents, Glen and Myrtle Deleta Davidson, and many cherished relatives including her brother, Jack Davidson. Her spirit lives on through her daughters, Donna R. Lundy and Anna Deleta McCulley, her son, Richard Gene Sires, her sisters, Glenna R. Williams and Gayle Lewis, as well as 15 Grandchildren and to many to count Great Grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of her love and laughter.
As we remember Nina Jean Sires, let us celebrate her life, a testament to the beauty of kindness and creativity. May we honor her memory by embracing one another with the same big hugs and radiant smiles that she so freely gave.
