Patsy Jean Coleman, 86, passed away November 21, 2025 at her home after a battle with dementia.  

A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.  Funeral service will take place Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Centerville with Rev. Don Feezor and Pastor Ken Garman officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery, across from the church.

 

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Mattie Taylor; her brother James Taylor; sister Daphine Spears and her son, Philip Coleman. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Robert “Bobby” Coleman; son Chris (Lisa) Coleman of Byron; grandsons Adam (Haleigh) Coleman of Kennesaw and Derrick Coleman of Warner Robins; granddaughters, Jessica Coleman (Kurt D.) of Centerville and Lauren Coleman of Kennesaw; one great granddaughter, Olivia Coleman of Kennesaw.   Patsy has several nieces and nephews and extended family to cherish her memory.

 

Patsy was born in Dublin, Georgia on November 13, 1939 to the late Cleo and Mattie Taylor. She graduated high school as one of the first graduating classes of Baldwin High School. She and Bobby were married May 29, 1960 and lived in Milledgeville for a few years before moving to Centerville in 1966.  She was a homemaker for most of her life, but did work outside the home in her younger years at Central State Hospital in Milledgeville and in the offices of Green Street Church of God (Warner Robins) and Maranatha Church of God (Centerville) where she was a longtime member of both church families. Later she became a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville.

 

Family would like to thank her caregiver, Angela Dinkens, for all of the wonderful care and love she gave to Ms. Patsy during the last year of her life.  

 

Patsy’s family would like to encourage you to send flowers to help brighten the day.
