Andrea Thompson Albright, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, passed away on October 29, 2025. Born on August 31, 1953, in Flushing, New York, she was the daughter of Virginia Kendall and David Joseph Thompson Jr.

Andrea spent her childhood in Bayside and Hampton Bays, New York and attended Marymount School in Tarrytown, New York. She cherished her years on Long Island, where she worked at White’s Pharmacy in East Hampton as the Cosmetics Department manager and buyer. Her natural sense of style, attention to detail, and warmth with customers shaped the foundation for what would become a lifelong career in sales and client service.

In 1978, she relocated to Hilton Head Island to join her parents, who had recently retired there, and where she built a rich and fulfilling life and career. Shortly after settling in the Lowcountry, Andrea met the love of her life, Craig Donald Albright, formerly of Columbus, OH. It was a chance meeting at her parents’ home following a round of golf that led to seven years of dating and forty years of marriage (September 26, 1985). And they coincidentally shared a birthday - just a few years apart.

Andrea also began her career as manager and buyer at Shoes Etc., traveling regularly to Europe to source collections. Her expertise in the footwear industry earned her recognition from the Italian Trade Commission. On one trip, she was selected as the only woman among five Americans to tour small Italian shoemakers and secure funds to promote their products in the store.

In 2006 she transitioned from fashion sales to real estate. In the 18 years that Andrea was part of Collins Group Realty, she earned an impeccable reputation for her professionalism, kindness, attentiveness, and passion for helping clients make the most of their life experience in the Lowcountry.Beyond her many professional accomplishments, Andrea was known for her warm sense of humor, her generous heart - especially for dogs - and her love of the beach and reading.

She is survived by her husband, Craig, and beloved dog Arthur, of Hilton Head Island; her sister, Nancy Thompson Dolcemascolo (Sal) of San Diego; four nieces, Tricia Chyz (Ron Fenix), Kate Taylor (Bryan), Eileen Smit, and Christine Castillo (Dominic); and six great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and David, her brother, David Joseph Thompson III, and many, many beloved Labrador Retrievers.

A private ceremony will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, MiraSol Health of Bluffton, or the Hilton Head Humane Society, each cause close to Andrea’s heart.
