Born on August 18, 1940, in Washington, D.C., Bill was the son of Dixie M. Snow and William James Snow II.He grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey, where he attended Columbia High School and distinguished himself not only as a great student but a talented track and field star.Bill attended Penn State University where he received an engineering degree along with an MBA in business. He was a proud member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.He had the privilege of being a ranger on horseback in Yellowstone National Park one of his college summers.It was at Penn State that he met the love of his life, Sue Forbes, whom he married on July 30, 1966. Early in their marriage, they lived in Laguna Beach, California.A dedicated engineer, Bill spent many years with Rockwell International in both Southern California and Cape Canaveral, Florida contributing to key efforts in the Apollo program.He later moved to Grafton, Massachusetts, when Rockwell acquired the Draper Corporation with a role in upper management and had his only child, a daughter, Farley.His career reflected his sharp intellect, strong work ethic, and steadfast commitment to innovation.Bill left Rockwell and returned to Florida and purchased Seven Bridges Nursery & Produce in Sarasota. This venture became a family affair and his leadership and dedication helped the business flourish and serve its community for over 20 years.A loyal, proud family man, Bill loved supporting his daughter in everything she did. He was on the sidelines of every sport she played. She was his pride & joy.He loved the outdoors, was athletic and was an avid fisherman. Being on his boat was his favorite pastime.

Later in life he & his wife traveled & explored the great U.S. park system in their mobile home. He also cherished the companionship of his beloved cat, Shorty.Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sue and is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Farley and Patrick Boyle and their 3 children Mackenzie, Chase and Abigail, his sisters-in-law Ellen and Susan Forbes, his brother-in-law William Forbes along with his sister Dixie S. Huefner and brother Gerald T. Snow.Bill's life was defined by honesty, strength, discipline, empathy, an exceptional mind and unwavering love for his friends and family.His legacy lives on in his daughter and grandchildren.He will be profoundly missed.
