David Rankin Royster, 65, of Rowesville, South Carolina passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at MUSC Orangeburg.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Rowesville Baptist Church 605 River Dr. Rowesville, SC 29133. Rev. George Moore and Rev. Alan Woodward will be officiating.
David was bon on February 14, 1960 in Biloxi, MS. He was the son of the late Rev. Donald R. Royster and the late Carolyn C. Royster. He was a graduate of Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts English and Religion and Southeastern Seminary with a Master of Divinity. David was the pastor of Rowesville Baptist Church, Chaplin with Edisto Home Care and Hospice and Director of Evangelism with the Orangeburg-Calhoun Baptist Association. David enjoyed gardening, fishing and most of all evangelism.
Survivors include his son Robyn Royster, brother Rev. Donald P. Royster (Sondra) and nieces Michelle Rovai (Chris), and Rebecca Jennings (Eddie). He was predeceased by his sister Debra Susan Royster.
