Ron was born in Denver Colorado on July 31, 1962, growing up on the west side of Denver with his brothers, sisters and cousins. He enjoyed the numerous camping trips, family reunions and time spent growing up with his multi-generational family friends.
He was an exceptional athlete from a young age, playing football, baseball, and later in life, over thirty baseball and slow pitch softball. He also bowled in numerous leagues and tournaments and played golf with friends and family.
He met his wife Chris playing baseball at Mountair, currently a part of the City of Lakewood. They married in1981 and purchased their first home. Shortly thereafter, they had their first son, Marcus, in 1982, and then their second son Kyle in 1985. In 1986 they purchased their second home where he was able to pass peacefully in his sleep.
Ron worked for Dana Kepner, Nestle Purina and United Airlines where he eventually retired. In every company he worked as hard as he played, made lifelong friends and always “knew a guy” when one was needed. There was almost nowhere he went that someone in the crowd did not know him.
He also coached both of his sons in baseball, supported them in football, bowling and whatever else they tried. Along the way he met many kids, who are now young men, that grew to be an important part of his life.
Ron loved his dogs. They each had a special place in his heart and were waiting for him on the Rainbow Bridge. Three of his other dogs miss him and will join him later and keep him company.
His life was full of love, family, friends and laughter. We will all miss him but will keep him in our hearts. Ron is survived by his wife Chris; his son Marcus and his wife Charlee, his son Kyle and his wife Kilee; his grandkids Kaylee, Tamilyn (TL), Joseph, Jason (JJ), Delilah, Nikolai (Niko) and Peyton; his sisters Shirley and husband Scott; Debbie and husband Jeff; brother Bob; nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Our family invites family and friends to join us as we celebrate his life on November 29th. There will be an openhouse beginning at 2:00 at 1200 Dudley Street, Lakewood, Co 80215. In lieu of flowers, please feel free todonate in his name to ASPCA https://secure.aspca.org/donate.
