Hak Neak was born on December 10, 1935, in Battambang, Cambodia, and passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, at Novant Hospital in Matthews, North Carolina.

Hak married Nhek Tep in 1979, and together they lovingly cared for their family with the strength of faith in Christ and perseverance. In 1985, they courageously moved to the United States, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future for the entire family.

After Hak retired from Siemens Energy of Charlotte, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending quiet, meaningful moments with those he loved. His gentle presence and patient spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Hak is survived by his loving family, including his children Souren Neak, Srey Nie (YUam Nie), Hach Neak, En Neak, Chrep Nie Mann (Scott Mann), Chroeun Nean (Syvandy Nean), Keo Lynda Souvannaleuth, and his grandchildren YMathio Nie (Tabitha Gazarek), YPeter Nie (Jessica Nie), Cindy Nie, Bory Neak, June Nean Duty (Matthew Duty), Sylinna Lyza Neak, Abraham Neak, YDanny Nie, Coryanna Neak, Latsumi Souvannaleuth, Paula Nean. Great grandchildren: Aubrey Nie, Arden Nie, Nasir Nie, Braylen Duty. 

Hak was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and will be remembered as a faithful witness of Christ, a devoted husband,  a loving father, and grandfather whose legacy resilience, will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Celebration of Life and Burial to be held on Monday, December 1st, 2025 at 10am for visitation, 11am for service at Tribute and Tallent Funeral Home, and 12pm for burial at Evergreen Cemetery. We welcome home visitation Saturday, November 29th.
