Gerard Paul Hammill February 11, 1939- November 18, 2025It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gerard Paul Hammill Jr., a faithful servant of the Lord, beloved husband, devoted father and loving grandfather, who left this world on November 18,2025 to be with the Lord in heaven. At the age of 86, Gerard passed away peacefully at Aviata at the Harbor in Safety Harbor, Florida, after a courageous battle with illness. He leaves behind a family and church community that will deeply miss his quiet strength and steadfast faith.Gerard was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1939 to Gerard Sr. and Margaret Hammill, here he grew up and eventually met his wife of 64 years, Bonnie.In addition to his parents, Gerard was preceded in death by his daughter Nancy Keyes and his granddaughter Nicole Bryson and survived by his wife Bonnie, children Colleen Keeley, Karen Goodspeed, Gerard Hammill lll , 10 grandchildren and sisters Margaret Polito and Diane Neothling.He will forever be in our hearts. May he now rest in Eternal Peace in the arms of the Lord.A visitation and funeral mass will be held on December 4, 2025 at 9:00 am at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church in Tampa.Memorial donations may be made to The Saint Vincent de Paul society at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church.
