Carol-Lynn (Morris) Dawson, born January 2, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025. Raised on Long Island, Carol-Lynn grew up with a strong sense of family, resilience, and compassion -- qualities that guided her throughout her life and nursing career.

She graduated from Kings County Hospital Center School of Nursing in 1969, beginning a lifelong vocation dedicated to caring for others. In 1970, she married the love of her life William J. Dawson, and together they shared 44 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and unwavering partnership.

The family moved to Tucson, Arizona in the 1980s, where Carol-Lynn continued her nursing career in urgent care. Whether at work or in the cheering stands of little league and Bobby Sox games, she gave her heart fully to those she cared for.

Carol-Lynn is survived by her three brothers- Byard (Betty) Morris, Richard (Sandy) Morris, and Kevin Morris; her three children--William (Lillia) and their children Isabel, William, and Lauren; her daughter Mary-Beth; and Byard (Amanda) and their children Abigail and Emily. And many nephews and nieces. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, nurse, and friend who gave generously and loved deeply.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to La Sonora at Dove Mountain Assisted Living for their care and comfort, and to Casa de la Luz Hospice for the compassion they provided during her final days.
