Mr. Donald Forest Farnham, age 90, a resident of Auburndale, Florida, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale surrounded by family. Mr. Farnham was born August 6, 1935, in Montpelier, Vermont, to Perley Forest and Lenabelle (Farnsworth) Farnham. Don was a Maintenance Manager for Walt Disney World Orlando and an Auburndale resident for many years. Don graduated high school in 1953 at the age of 17, he worked in a Lumber Mill from 1953-1955, in January 1955 he joined the Airforce in New York, he traveled to Amarillo, Texas for basic training in April 1955, in September 1955 he left for Japan, in September 1957 he left Japan for MacDill Airforce Base, working on B-47 aircraft, in 1959 he went in a B-47 to Spain for 6 months and then in 1960 went back to MacDill. The whole bomb wing of B-475 went to Bunker Hill Airforce Base, went to upper state Maine and in 1961 we got supersonic B-58 bombers, Don was the crew chief, he then went to Torrehone, England, Spain for weapons loading training and when completed went back to Indiana. For possible deployment he flew his B-52 aircraft to Homestead, but the crisis was settled, but then in May of 1966, he flew to the South Pacific, Guam Airforce base where he had 6 bombing missions of Vietnam and in September 1966 came back to Orlando, Florida McCoy Airforce base. In December 1967 he left the Airforce and from 1967 to 1971 he worked on the moon program at the Space center “Saturn 5” space craft. In 1962 he married Loretta with 4 children, Kenny, Danny, Donny & Kathy, he also had 2 babies that passed away Stephen Dewayne Farnham at 3 months old and still born. In 1987, Loretta passed away at the age of 50 after 26 years of marriage. In 1971 he started working at Walt Disney World Orlando for $3.90 per hour on the 3rd shift, during the day he went to Valencia College for management training and in 2000 he retired from Disney after 30 years of service. In 1991 he married Laura, who had 4 children, Anna, Larry, Jeanette & Mark.
Preceded him in death are his parents; brothers, Ronald "Ronnie" Farnham and Thomas "Tommy" Farnham; 1st wife – Loretta; 2nd wife – Laura; 2 sons – Danny & Donny; daughter – Jeanette and 2 infants.
