Catherine Anne Gray, 69, of Lakewood WA peacefully passed away on October 30, 2025 after a difficult battle with heart disease and cancer.
Catherine was born on July 9, 1956 to parents Thelma and LTC Lucian Gray USAF in Bitburg, Germany.
Catherine attended St Frances Cabrini Elementary School in Lakewood and graduated from St Leo High School Tacoma class of 1974.After graduation Catherine joined the Job Corps where she trained for a career with the Railroad. Catherine went on to worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad in Spokane, Seattle, Tacoma, Tri-Cities and Fort Worth Texas. Catherine retired in 2021 after being employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad for 41 years. Upon retirement Catherine returned to Washington from Texas and enjoyed spending time friends keeping up with her sister and brother’s and her nieces and nephews as well as cooking, genealogy and bird-watching.
Catherine was predeceased by her parents Lou and Thelma Gray, she is survived by sister Monica and brothers Paul and Carl. Nieces, Alice and Fiona nephews Arron, Jonathan, Richard, Christopher and Lucian.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Leo Catholic Church, 701 South 13th Street Tacoma, WA 98405 on December 5, 2025 at 12:10pm.
