Mary Janette Whitlock, born on April 27, 1934, in Monroe, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on December 3, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Cora Rogers, Delvana Rogers, Essie Mae Rogers, and her brother, Roy Rogers.Mary was a devoted mother, leaving behind her five cherished children: Sherry Whitlock-Hagen, Charlotte Whitlock-Bailey, Brenda Whitlock-Briggs, Carlos Whitlock, and Glen Whitlock. She was the heart and soul of her family, nurturing them with unconditional love and support.A faithful Christian, Mary was an active member of the Church of God in Winter Haven, Florida. She served with dedication at Meals on Wheels for several years and was always the first to volunteer, taking great joy in providing food for church potlucks and community events.Mary's adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively across the United States, with children born in California, Florida, and Michigan. In addition to her travels, she had a passion for shopping, gardening, thrifting, and sewing. Her extraordinary talent for cross-stitching resulted in some of the most beautiful quilts you could imagine, and she was always eager to lend her skills to church fundraisers.Mary Janette Whitlock will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering faith, and her generous heart. She leaves a legacy of love and service that will live on through her family and all who knew her.
