Juanito “Johnny” Asisto Fresco, 79, passed away peacefully in his home in Mukilteo on November 27, 2025. He was a cherished son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather and he will be forever missed. Johnny was born on August 21, 1946 in Majajay in the province of Laguna, Philippines. He graduated from Lyceum of the Philippines University in Manila with a BSBA degree in accounting.  He immigrated to the United States in 1977 after he married his wife, Cristina and first settled in Bremerton, Washington, then to Seattle and then their forever home in Mukilteo where they raised their three children.Johnny spent his career as an accountant for the Cascade Natural Gas Corporation in Seattle. He also helped his wife run a small Asian grocery store business for many years, as well as worked a variety of jobs in his spare time including insurance sales and vendor accounting for the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field.  After retiring from Cascade Natural Gas he continued working part time during baseball Season at Safeco Field and volunteered as a tax accountant with the AARP offering free tax services to the local community. He was always there for his family and a big supporter to his children with all of their academic, athletic and extracurricular activities - taking them to practices, watching their games, recitals, concerts, and more.   He and his wife frequently hosted big family gatherings at their home and he enjoyed cooking for the many holiday, birthday, or potluck parties.  He also loved gardening and spent hours tending to his vegetables in his backyard.  Fishing was another hobby of his and many times he would bring home his catch to grill for dinners. He was a dedicated local sports fan and cheered on his Seattle Mariners, Seahawks, Supersonics and the Washington Huskies. Johnny also loved to travel, taking his family on road trips, visiting friends and relatives in various cities, and taking vacations with his wife.  When he became a grandfather “Lolo”, he was dedicated to helping raise his grandsons in Seattle and loved connecting with his grandchildren that lived in North Carolina and in Tokyo on video calls and during their visits to Lolo and Lola’s house in Mukilteo.
