Dale’s early education took root in the familiar halls of Park Road Elementary, followed by Alexander Graham Middle School then Myers Park High School. Throughout her life, she cultivated her passions, which included spending sunny days at the beach, participating in the local Corvette Club, and embracing the joy of shagging, memorable cruises, listening to her favorite music and shopping. She had a home in Vero Beach, Florida, as well as her beach house in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Dale was preceded in death by both parents, David Henning Van Every and Doris Beasley Van Every, her first husband, Jeffrey Micheal Tatar Sr. (father of Beth, Jennifer & Jeffrey Jr.).

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Beth Leininger, Jennifer Greer (Shane), Jeff Tatar Jr. (Heather), Brandi Harton, Hayley Harton; nine grandchildren, Sarah Katelyn Alford, Ashley Paige Alford, Hunter Bailey Alford, Micheal Lance Rosser Fuquay, Camden Doris Ellen Fuquay, Zackery Ryan Greer, Reagan Elizabeth Beasley Leininger, Kaleigh Nicole Greer, Charles Andrew Leininger III, Colton Phillip Leopard; one brother, David Charles Van Every; nieces, nephews, cousins, ex-husband Jack Harton, and very close friends.
