🕊️ Celebrating the Life of Jeannie (Betty) Gessner
Jeannie (Betty) Gessner, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, embarked on her final adventure on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the age of 73. She passed away peacefully, enveloped by the love and presence of her cherished family. A gentle and adventurous soul, Jeannie is now joyfully reunited with her beloved daughter, Jennifer Smith, who preceded her in death, and to whom she held an eternal bond. Jeannie was born on April 25, 1952, in the vibrant city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, to the late Carrol and Rudy Eaveson. As the youngest of five children, she brought a spark and lively spirit to her family from the very beginning. In a beautiful journey of commitment and companionship, Jeannie was married to the love of her life, Fred Gessner, for 37 wonderful and enriching years. Their partnership was a foundation of love that blossomed into a beautiful family. Together, they raised two devoted children, Amber Bynon and Freddie Gessner. Their family circle grew even wider with the joyful welcome of two cherished sons-in-law, Randall Bynon and Rudy Perez, who became integral parts of her life. Jeannie’s greatest joy was found in her role as a matriarch. She was an immensely proud grandmother to Zane and Paige Oliver and Cynthia Bynon. Her legacy of love continued with the sweet arrival of her great-grandson, Elijah Castillo, who brought a special light to her later years. A true adventurous spirit, Jeannie lived a life rich with curiosity and excitement. Whether she was fearlessly navigating dusty trails in her jeep while 4-wheeling, or delving into the history of the Southwest by exploring captivating ghost towns and the legendary streets of Tombstone, Arizona, she embraced every moment with enthusiasm. She also deeply treasured simple, quality moments, especially spending time going to the movies with her family, a quiet joy she held dear. Jeannie's vibrant laughter, warmth, and zest for life will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know her.Donations
