It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Matthew Gage, age 58. Matthew was a devoted father to Sydney and Colton Gage, and is survived by his children, mother Cheryl Keller, stepfather Michael Keller, father Tom Gage, stepmother Barb Gage, brother Michael Keller Jr. and sister-in-law, Andrea Keller.

A proud military veteran, Matthew served in the United States Air Force for over a decade. He was a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, holding both a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management and an MBA in Business Administration.

His professional journey included roles at several defense companies, including Bombardier, Raytheon, and LaBarge earning a Six Sigma black belt certification along the way. Later, Matthew founded a thriving commercial fencing company, providing services to key regional organizations such as Tucson Electric Power, City of Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Pima County, and the Reid Park Zoo.

Outside of work, Matthew was an avid angler and golfer, sharing memorable travel adventures with friends and family across North America and beyond, enjoying both. His fishing tales and lost golf ball distribution were global.

His smile, compassion, and generosity had a lasting touch on everyone who had the benefit of his connection. Matthew will be remembered for his dedication to family, service to his country, and his entrepreneurial spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, hard work, and overwhelming kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either Folds of Honor Folds of Honor – Educational Scholarships for Military and First Responder Families or the Wounded Warrior project Wounded Warrior Project - Donate in memory of Matt.
