Tom was born in Waterloo Iowa, December 9, 1962, the son of Donald and Mary Patricia Clark. He graduated from Central High School, Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids. After college he embarked on a career as a software engineer at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids. He retired from there in 2019 before moving to Palm Bay Florida.

Tom loved having a cabin in Harpers Ferry Iowa, where he love to fish and entertain guests on his pontoon boat.

He enjoyed astronomy and getting out his telescope and showing whomever wanted to learn about the heavens. He dabbled in playing guitar, keyboards, flight simulator and loved model railroading and flying RC planes.

No funeral is planned at this time per his request, a celebration of life will be held late spring in Cedar Rapids Iowa.

Tom is survived by; Gail Kester Clark, brothers Jeffery Clark (Sara), Donald Clark (Angela), sister Susan Conway; his beloved stepdaughters, Mindy McCreight, Kimberly Tierney(Casey), Karissa Keller(Joe), Lindsay Gloede(Chad); nieces Emily Markoe, Allison Clark, Jennifer Bilgo and nephews Brian Bilgo and Garrett Clark. Tom had many grandchildren through his marriage to Gail including; Mackenzie DeMoss, Lexi Thompson, Kyle and Kadyn Tierney, Sam, Isla and Emma Keller, Laneya, Brodie, Boston and Brooks Gloede, and Great Grandsons Raiden and Elias Foust. Special mention to Tom’s friend Ginny Francis.
