Etta Jean "Mom, Mamaw" Ferris, age 94, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, in Seminole, Florida.

Born on April 8, 1931, in Hamilton, Ohio, Etta lived a long and faith-filled life devoted to her family, community, and spiritual beliefs. A graduate of Hamilton High School, Etta began her career as a dental hygienist, serving with dedication and care for many years. Later, she transitioned into real estate and worked as a Real Estate Agent at Freedom Square Retirement Center in Seminole. Her professional journey reflected her compassion and commitment to helping others find comfort and security.

 Etta was the devoted wife of the late Stanford Ferris and the loving mother of the late Michael Wayne Ferris. She is remembered with love by her daughters Belinda Schellenbach and Deborah Sadlowski; sons-in-law Alan Schellenbach and Raymond Sadlowski; and three grandchildren Brian Gruhn, Jennifer Schellenbach, and Alison Garrity; granddaughter in- law Melanie Gruhn and grandson-in-law James Garrity and great-grandchildren Ethan James Garrity and Harper Grace Garrity.

 Affectionately known as "Mom" or "Mamaw," Etta was a woman of deep faith who led by example. As the family's prayer warrior, she offered spiritual guidance with grace and humility. Her life was marked by service within her church community and through countless acts of kindness. Etta found joy in church activities, traveling, crafting, cooking, and entertaining loved ones. These passions were expressions of her generous spirit and warm hospitality. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Marilyn Pastor and the staff at Residence Club at Seminole for their compassionate care during Etta's final days.
