Graham Kent Robinson passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 28. Born on May 6, 1997, in Charlotte, NC, Graham was an extraordinary young man whose life left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Graham practiced martial arts, achieved a second-degree black belt, and valued being an instructor. He achieved his dream of owning his own home and serving in a profession he loved. He carried a stellar work ethic and an unwavering drive to grow, improve, and show up fully for those he cared about. His exuberance and laughter could fill a room, and his presence brought energy and warmth wherever he went.
With great honesty and love, the family acknowledges that Graham struggled with addiction. He fought bravely for years and was sober for nearly three, a testament to his strength and determination. In the last few months, the struggle returned — a reminder of how relentless this disease can be. His battle was brave - and it does not fully define his life. Graham’s strength, his heart, his joy, and his endless potential are what we will remember most. Graham was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his loss leaves a profound void in our lives. His story is one of love, resilience, struggle, and light.
He is survived by his loving mother, Jane Kent Gardner; his father, Albert Lynn Robinson (Lucy); his siblings: McLean Clark (Jerold), Kelbie Gardner, and Alexandria Whelan (Brandon); as well as his aunts, uncles, and cousins — and a home full of furry companions who adored him. His family is surrounded by a strong and caring community, finding comfort in each other as they mourn a life gone far too soon.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 20, 2:00 pm at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, NC with the Rev. Dr. Bob Henderson presiding. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Covenant Presbyterian, Charlotte, N.C.; Mental Health and Recovery Ministry or The Freedom Riders, Charlotte AA Group.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.

Whittington took the reins of the Crouch Funeral Home. The growth of our service and the community's support led to our move in March 1963 to the current location—once St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, built in 1930. Our chapel, a cherished historic landmark within the storied Dilworth neighborhood, is renowned for being the only funeral home in Charlotte graced with its own chapel, echoing with decades of history and serenity....
