Russell D. Doepner, 96 of Lake Elmo, MN passed away December 9, 2025 at his home.
Russell was the owner and operator of Doepner Greenhouse, he was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany during the Korean War.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #39 in North Saint Paul. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and his love of the Vikings, Gophers and Twins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Martha Hintz Doepner, 10 siblings, many nieces and nephews.
He is survived by the love of his life Kay Quance Doepner, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 10:00AM- 11:00AM with memorial service held a 11:00AM at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Mahtomedi, MN. Luncheon will follow the service at the church.
Private burial will take place in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
