Michael (Mike) J. Knabenbauer, 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Westminster, Colorado. He was born on May 7, 1948, to Jerome and Lucille Knabenbauer in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he spent most of his life before moving to Colorado.

Mike was a devoted father to his daughters, Krista (Andy) De Bruin and Amanda (Carlos) Cespedes, and a proud grandpa to Garrett and Peyton De Bruin, who were truly the light of his life. Their homemade cards, FaceTime calls and time together meant everything to him.

He is survived by his daughters; siblings Ronald (Pat) Knabenbauer, Alan Knabenbauer, Steven Knabenbauer, and Sandie Maynard; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome “Jerry” and Lucille (Ulrich) Knabenbauer; his brother James Knabenbauer; his sister Elizabeth Gruse; and his two beloved dogs, Beau and Duke, who brought him many years of companionship.

Mike worked at Banta Corporation (now RR Donnelly) based out of Menasha, Wisconsin, for nearly 40 years until his retirement. He always found happiness in simple joys — spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing, caring for his dogs and watching football. He enjoyed living a low-key life and cherished any time spent with his family.

Those who knew Mike will remember the kindness in his smile, and the pride he felt in his daughters and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
