David Farrell Boucher was born in New York, New York, on November 3, 1951, and passed away in Hilton Head, South Carolina, on October 31, 2025, at age 73.

David’s parents were the late Jerome H. P. Boucher and Joan Murray Boucher of New York City and Darien, CT.  David’s father was an Executive Vice President and Partner at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Company.  David attended Saint David’s School in New York City and graduated from The Winchendon School in Winchendon, MA.  He received a Bachelor of Arts from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL and a Master’s in Business Administration from Pace University in New York City.

David started his business career at the Ogilvy & Mather advertising agency and later became a star salesman at IPC Systems, which invented the trading turret and revolutionized communications systems on Wall Street.  This led David to a long and successful career in equity sales, where he worked at Morgan Stanley & Co., Dillon Read & Co, and Lehman Brothers, among other firms.

David lived in New York City, Greenwich, CT, Denver, CO and Philadelphia, PA. He was an avid tennis player and golfer and a member of the Belle Haven Club, the Stanwich Club and the Southampton Bathing Corporation.  He was also passionate about exercise, skiing, music, film and current events. His greatest passion was for his wife, Robin and especially his three children, Farrell, David and Caroline. He thought about them endlessly, always giving advice, support and inspiration in whatever ways he could. One of his favorite pastimes were daily walks with his beloved wirehaired dachshund, Gretta, at the Shelter Cove Marina.

David is survived by his wife Robin Dyhr Werson Boucher and three children: Farrell Leschen Boucher Jalbert of Manchester by the Sea, MA; David Farrell Boucher, Jr. of Rye, NY; and Caroline Dyhr Boucher of Chicago, IL.  David is also survived by his sister Joan Bradley Boucher Sill of Solana Beach, CA, his brother Jerome H. P. (Jerry) Boucher Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, his sister-in-law, Suzanne Renee Werson of Florence, Italy, his former wife Marion Boucher Holmes of Greenwich, CT, and five grandchildren.

The family will share details regarding a memorial service at a future date
