Daniel E. Barela passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 50. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many others he met along the way.

Daniel was incredibly intelligent and was always seeking knowledge through learning languages, collecting fun facts about the world around him, and pursuing hobbies that challenged him. He was someone others could always rely on—both for support in times of need and for laughter, thanks to his quick wit and distinctive sense of humor that shaped his outlook on life.

An avid collector, Daniel was well known for his extensive collection of movies, music, pop culture memorabilia, comic books, and limited-edition toys and action figures. He enjoyed spending his time cooking with family, assembling LEGO sets and puzzles, watching a wide array of movies and television shows, listening to music, singing and playing instruments, playing video games, card games, and board games, and spending time with his four beloved canine companions.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, wife, siblings, son and daughter, grandchildren, and extended family and friends whose lives were all enriched by knowing him.
