Obituary for Mrs. Kathryn Lundberg

Mrs. Kathryn “Kitty” Lundberg (nee Lips) aged 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Legacy

Kitty was a loving, kind, and caring woman whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. She lived her life with generosity, faith, and a deep devotion to family, friends, and community.

Kitty was extremely close to her sister, Barbara, sharing a bond filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. They would frequently travel together with her friends to places like Ocean City and Brigantine, NJ.

A devoted mother, Kitty, treasured time spent with her family, especially during the holidays. She took great pride in hosting holiday dinners; especially Christmas; creating a welcoming home filled with good food and conversation.

Kitty found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching the Phillies, reading mystery books, and spending time in her garden. She was especially proud of her garden and found delight in showing her flowers to friends and family. Her love for animals was evident in her fondness for birds, cats, and dogs, all of which brought her joy. Kitty enjoyed playing the piano and filling the house with music. In her early years, prior to her children, Kitty was known to paint; finding peace while painting lovely pictures.

Kitty served her community as a volunteer firefighter with the Eagle Fire Company (known as Fire 22), which was a reflection of her courage, compassion, and willingness to help others. She was also a devoted friend—loyal, thoughtful, and always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand.

Above all, Kitty was a woman of God whose faith guided her life and actions. Her kindness, strength, and love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Kitty leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to live in the hearts of her family and friends.

Family

Kitty is survived by her children; David, Robert, and Laura Lundberg (Bryan Hagee). Precious daughter to the late Kathryn L. Lips (Campbell) and Thomas B. Lips.

Loving sister to her heavenly siblings, Barbara and Donald Lips. Devoted Aunt to Pamela, Darlene, Gary, Susan, Jillian, Sherry, Terry, and the late David. World’s best Grandmother to Amanda and Erica Lundberg, Eric and Ian Hagee, Dayton Lundberg and her beloved Angel in Heaven, Makayla Lundberg. Precious Great- Grandmother to Shaun, Landyn, Si, Sammy and Alma.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kitty’s visitation on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the McGuinness Funeral Home (Washington Township), 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080.

Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am.

Inurnment to follow at Harleigh Cemetery, located on 1640 Haddon Ave., Camden, NJ
