Joe G Vasquez, 101 of Globe, Arizona peacefully passed away December 4th, 2025 in Chandler, AZ.  He was born on January 14th, 1924 in Globe, Arizona to the Late Juan and Marie (Guerena) Vasquez.  

 

Joe was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and Saint Juan Diego.  He was a World War II veteran of the US army.  Joe served in the European Theater during WWII.  He was wounded during the D-Day invasion on Utah Beach.  He received a Purple Heart.  After 5 months in a hospital in England, he was sent to fight in Belgium. Joe was honorably discharged on January 13th, 1945.  

 

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Saldivar) Vasquez.  He is survived by his children Veronica M. James (Kim) of Gold Canyon, AZ, Debbie Eck (Robert) of Gold Canyon, AZ,  Joseph A. Vasquez (Cecelia) of Chandler,  AZ., nine grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.  Joe gave of himself unselfishly to his family and his country.  His faith in Christ guided his every step.    

 

Services will be held at Saint Juan Diego, 3200 South Cooper Road, Chandler, AZ on Wednesday January 7th, 2026 at 9:30.
