Dorothy Pittman, a long-time resident of Chico, CA and centenarian passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on Thursday December 11, 2025. Dorothy Pittman was born on December 8, 1924 in Los Angeles, CA. Dorothy was preceded by her husband William Pittman, brother Harold Fischer, and her son Ronald Pittman. She is survived by her two daughters Suzanne Emmerling, Janice Diaz, and son-in-law John Diaz. She has six grandchildren Amy Wheeler, Lisa Emmerling, Troy, Emmerling, Amber Jacobson, Shawn Diaz, and Ryan Diaz and has nine great-grandchildren. Dorothy’s presence was a gift to those around her and her family and friends miss her dearly. She will be laid to rest next to her husband on January 9, 2025 at 1:00pm. The service will take place at Brusie Funeral Home in downtown Chico.
