She spent her life loving hard, laughing loudly, and refusing to take anybody’s bullsh*t. After 16 fearless years of staring down breast cancer, Angela M. Trabucco gracefully passed the torch on December 15, 2025.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Angie attended Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament and Franklin Regional High School, where she made lifelong friendships that carried on through her many moves in life. She met the love of her life, Desi Trabucco of Export, Pennsylvania, on a whim through a mutual friend. From that moment on, Desi and Angie have built an amazing life together. Not always fun and games, they walked through every high and low side by side, choosing each other with unwavering commitment and love.

Through that love, they built a family and welcomed two children: Michael A. Trabucco of Bristow, Virginia, and Dana M. Trabucco of Orlando, Florida. As a family of four, they traveled the country together, moving frequently for Desi’s work. Angie valued family above all else and made sure her family was top priority. As the children grew, both headed off to become Nittany Lions at Penn State University. During those years, Angie and Desi visited often, enjoying time with Mike and Dana tailgating, eating at the Waffle Shop, and always finding something to buy at Family Clothesline.

As Angie and Desi entered retirement, they made sure Desi’s career ended with a bang. His final assignment took them to Oahu, Hawaii, where they spent two unforgettable years on the island. They grew even closer, soaking up sunsets and adventure at every opportunity. It was there where Angie’s love for turtles was born and followed her back to the home where she started collecting them.

While they were enjoying island life, Michael and his wife, Brooke Lyon of West Chester, Pennsylvania, welcomed twins Aidan Giovanni Trabucco and Liliana Alessia Trabucco into the world. Becoming Grammie and Gramps brought Angie and Desi a happiness that lit them up. With two new grandchildren came new adventures. They visited Bristow often, exploring everything Northern Virginia had to offer—from apple picking to sightseeing. Lily especially loved baking with Grammie, making her chocolate zucchini bread, while Aidan couldn’t wait for dinner to end so Grammie and Gramps could take the family to Swirlies for ice cream.

In 2009, Angie received the news that she had breast cancer. With her fierce attitude and determination, she kicked its butt and was sent into remission a few years later. Angie and Desi continued on to new adventures, savoring everything life had to offer. During this time, Dana and her husband, Bradley S. Fleeman of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, welcomed their children, Rylie Marie Fleeman and Max Desiderio Fleeman. Becoming grandparents again grew Angie and Desi’s hearts more than they ever thought possible. Watching her children raise their own children became one of Angie’s greatest joys.

Spicy and sassy at times—and always a mom who lived by the “f*ck around and find out” policy—Angie would do anything for her family. Her sassiness came from her mother, Dolores J. Indovina, and her fiery spice from her father, Anthony Indovina—both proudly Italian. A full-blooded Italian woman, she was truly no one to mess with. This toughness came in handy during her school days with her brother, Anthony Indovina of Manassas, Virginia. Constantly into mischief, Anthony found himself protected by Angie’s fearless attitude, making them a duo no one wanted to challenge.

Angie was a fighter in everything she did—never a quitter, always seeing the best in everyone and everything, even in the heaviest of times. That strength was tested again in 2020 when she learned the cancer had returned. She put her boxing gloves back on and fought the good fight for many years. Through it all, Angie continued to live life to the fullest. In October, despite being in pain, Angie insisted on traveling to Virginia to be with Mike, Brooke, Aidan and Lily. Nothing was going to stop her from being with her family.

She played golf with her lady friends and enjoyed couples golf with Desi. Angie also cherished time with her mother, Dolores. Though there were moments she wanted to pull her hair out when the hearing aids weren’t working, they shared years filled with laughter and plenty of expletives. Angie fulfilled a lifelong dream by taking her bucket-list trip to London, checking off an adventure she had always hoped to experience.

In her free time, she happily drove to Orlando to her daughter Dana’s house washing and folding clothes with a level of joy most people reserved for vacations. Something Dana never quite understood, she asked her mom to promise her that she’d swing by from the afterlife to teach her the joy of laundry—because some lessons require divine intervention. In addition to her many hobbies, she was an avid baker and loved baking with her grandchildren. Max and Rylie insisted that Grammie had the ‘best’ brownie pan that made the most delicious brownies on the face of the planet. During the holiday season her pumpkin rolls filled every inch of the house, even if it meant she was filling them at midnight.

As Angie decided to pass the torch and close the chapter on her life here on earth, her story does not end here. She leaves behind a legacy through her husband, Desi; her children, Michael and Dana; their spouses, Brooke and Bradley; and her four beloved grandchildren, Liliana, Aidan, Rylie, and Max. As Desmond Tutu once said, “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” We take comfort in knowing we will meet again—and while we wait, Heaven has gained another angel, one who will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Angie’s life will be held on Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Ezell Recreation Center, 769 Marilee Place, The Villages, FL 32163, with a luncheon to follow. Guests are encouraged to wear bright and cheerful clothing to celebrate her life, her spirit, and the joy she brought into every room she entered.

A Catholic service at St. Vincent DePaul, 5323 E County Rd 462, Wildwood, FL 34785, honoring Angie’s life will take place on Sunday, February 15 at 5:00 p.m., fittingly on what would have been her 67th birthday.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Angie’s memory to Florida Cancer Specialists or the Mayo Clinic, organizations that supported her throughout her courageous journey.
