Roxanne Alyce Blackmore ‘Roc’ went to be with Jesus the evening of Thursday December 11, 2025, at the age of 85.
Roxanne was born April 8, 1940, in San Francisco, CA. She first met her husband Norman Stewart Blackmore at the young age of 14. A few years later they reconnected and married July 9, 1960. They lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years, then later moved to Windsor, CA in 1971. This past summer, Norman and Roxanne celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary renewing their vows with many friends and family in attendance at their home in Windsor.
Roxanne will always be remembered for her ministry to children through Sunday School, Child Evangelism Fellowship having Good News Clubs in her home and offering Bible Lessons after-school in various schools around Sonoma County. She was an active member of Santa Rosa Bible Church and The Gideons. She also enjoyed painting, sewing and baking and spending time with her family.
Roxanne is preceded in death by her parents Helen Luibel and Charles Hana. Brothers Leonard, Norman and Allison. Sisters Violet, Thelma and Helen. Grandson Robby Stinnett.
She is survived by her husband Norman Blackmore; children Laura Blackmore, Cathleen Blackmore, Linda Bell (Douglas), April Blackmore (Kathy) and Steven Blackmore (Elizabeth) as well as 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be April 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Santa Rosa Bible Church, 4575 Badger Road, Santa Rosa, CA. 95409.
