**Obituary for Barry Allen Wilson** It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Barry Allen Wilson, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, who left us unexpectedly on December 1, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Born on June 8, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Barry led a life filled with extraordinary service, adventure, and an enduring love for the great outdoors. Barry’s journey began with an indomitable spirit. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard from April 1974 to August 1979, followed by a tenure in the Navy Reserves until June 1984, and returned to active duty in the Coast Guard until August 2000. His dedication to his country was only matched by his commitment to his community. Barry spent the next decades working at Quality Electric and later at the Office of Natural Resources Revenue at the Denver Federal Center, where he served until his passing. An individual always ready to lend a hand in times of crisis, Barry was not just an emergency responder but a certified Emergency Medical Technician. He approached every challenge with a blend of kindness, humor, and an unwavering loyalty that made people naturally gravitate toward him. His generosity knew no bounds, whether it was with his time, his resources, or simply a comforting word. Beyond his professional achievements, Barry was a passionate amateur radio operator, known affectionately as KA0BBQ. As part of ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service), he played a vital role in providing emergency communication during disasters, embodying his lifelong dedication to helping others. Barry also had a great love for exploring national parks and nature, often setting out with his fully-stocked Yamaha Wolverine to share those experiences with friends and family. His adventurous spirit extended to researching family genealogy, where he delighted in uncovering and sharing unknown family stories and connections with his loved ones. Barry is survived by his beloved sisters, Pamela Hilliard and Kelly Wilson, and a treasured family of nieces and nephews: Jason, Joshua, Jonathan, Nicole, and Michele. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carol Gwendolyn Wilson and Richard Benjamin Wilson, and his brother, Stephen Richard Wilson. Barry's absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. A ceremony to honor Barry will be held with military honors at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
