Jewel Ann Johnson was born on September 3, 1942, in Glasgow, Montana, to Merel and Eugene Kapphan. She lived a life marked by deep love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those around her. There, Jewel created beautiful and unforgettable wedding cakes and helped build a place where memories were made. Her grandchildren and many of their friends fondly remember heling glaze donuts, learning to run the register, and feeling at home in the bakery she poured her heart into.

Jewel had an undying love for animals and was always drawn to the unique ones, bringing them home so they could know unconditional love and compassion. She also had a remarkable talent for decorating her home, with an eye that could make anything look beautiful. Her home reflected her heart, warm, welcoming, and full of love.

Above all else, Jewel made sure the people she loved always knew it. Even at her weakest, her words were "I love you." Her strength was admirable, her love the purest.
