Linda Sue Pepitone, 81, of Yuba City, CA, passed away at Adventist Rideout Hospital, Marysville, CA, on December 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born on April 13, 1944, in Oroville, CA. She was the daughter of George Weldon Deadwiley and Mavis Leo (Baldwin) Deadwiley.

Linda graduated from Lajes Dependents' High School, Azores, Portugal. She continued her education to include computer skills, management training, leadership and supervisory skills for women, and seminars related to becoming an administrative assistant.

Linda married Gary Marvin Pepitone on August 27, 1966, in Oakland, CA. She was married to Gary for over 17 years. They had two daughters together, Tina and Terri.

With her father in the Air Force, her homes included Anchorage, AK, El Paso, TX, and Bangor, ME, as well as Germany and the Azores. Her favorite place to live was California where she was "perfectly content."

Linda's work included being a Clerk Typist at Lajes Air Force Base, Azores, Portugal, Secretary at Kingway Container in Oakland, CA, Secretary at Kaiser Engineers, Oakland, CA, and Clerk to City Council, City of Oroville.

Her most valuable role came with her experience as a Butte County Office of Education Administrative Assistant and Office Supervisor to Special Services, including the duality of serving as Administrative Assistant to Butte County SELPA for at least 30 years.

Upon her retirement, Linda relocated from Oroville, CA, to Yuba City, CA, to be closer to family.

She was extensively involved in the lives of her four grandchildren, Nathan Selken, Jenna Selken, Selena Reyes, and Hannah Reyes. She would often provide daycare and respite care for her grandchildren.

She especially enjoyed celebrating family achievements, attending functions and field trips, outings and vacationing with family, and venturing to McDonald's or getting ice cream with the grandchildren.

Remaining to cherish Linda's memory are her children, Tina Baker and Terri Reyes; grandchildren, Nathan Selken, Jenna Selken, Selena Reyes, and Hannah Reyes; and her brother, James Deadwiley.

Funeral services will be held at Adventure Church, 876 W. Onstott Frontage Rd, Yuba City, CA 95993, Friday, December 19, 2025, 10 AM.

Following the service, a brief graveside service/interment will follow at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave, Sutter, CA 95982.
