With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Darlene D. Jones, who departed this life on December 22, 2025, in Macon, Georgia, at the age of 72. A graveside service to honor Darlene’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the mausoleum chapel of Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her remarkable life and the memories she shared with those she loved most.   

Born on February 20, 1953, in the sunny city of San Diego, California, Darlene embraced life with a warmth and grace that touched everyone she encountered. Darlene was the beloved wife of Morris R. Jones, with whom she shared an extraordinary 55 years of marriage. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with love and laughter, raising two devoted daughters, Stephanie (Garry) Whitley and Serena (Andrew) Washington. Darlene’s legacy also lives on through her seven cherished grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

In her professional life, Darlene made her mark as a dedicated underwriter with Georgia Farm Bureau, where her commitment and expertise earned her the respect of her colleagues.  Upon her retirement, she devoted herself to her passions, most notably sewing and crocheting. Her craftsmanship was renowned, and she garnered countless awards at the Georgia National Fair for her exquisite afghans, each stitch a testament to her creativity and skill. Darlene’s warmth extended beyond her family; she was a nurturing soul whose kindness knew no bounds.

Her spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In the embrace of her loved ones, Darlene shaped a life filled with love, beauty, and resilience.  In this time of mourning, we celebrate the life of Darlene D. Jones, whose legacy of love and craftsmanship will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
