Dorothy M. Lundquist, 101, died on December 18, 2025. She was born on June 1, 1924 to Frank J. & Daisy M. Sweeney of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She moved from East Lansing, MI to Florida in 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Robert Lundquist.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter. David Bone, Terrance Bone, Michael Bone and Deborah Bone-Harris. Her stepchildren are Rob Lundquist, Debbie Nimphie and Libbie MacDonald.
Dorothy graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI. She did post graduate work at Columbia University in New York. She taught elementary school in Battle Creek and Lansing, MI. She was the administrative assistant to the Michigan Community College Assoc. before moving to Florida. Dorothy was a member of the Venice Little Theater Foxettes, CMU Alumni Association and member of the Jacaranda Country Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1301 Center Road in Venice at 10:00AM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Academy Foundation, P.O. Box 522, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
