Robert Lee Shipman (Bob) passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at his Centennial, Colorado home with his son by his side.  He was 93 years old.  Bob was born to Charles and Emma Shipman on January 5, 1932, in Pratt, Kansas.  He is survived by his son Troy (Jennie), his grandchildren, Robby and Kathryn Shipman, and his longtime friend, Carolyn Sellers of Portland, Oregon.

Bob grew up in Rawlins, Wyoming, and proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  He was an electrical engineer on a B-36 Bomber.  After serving his country, he attended the University of Wyoming and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He worked for Metrum Datatape and Honeywell’s Test Instrument Division.  He helped pioneer the use of ultrasound throughout the country.

Services honoring Bob’s life will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date - to be determined by his family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bob’s honor to your favorite Veteran’s organization or Berkley Hospice at 10697 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, CO 80014.
