Bartolomeo Salvatore Giorgi, age 69, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 1, 1956, in Campobello di Mazara, Sicily, Italy, to Antonino Giorgi and Angela Lentini. Bartolomeo, known to all as Lillo, was a devoted father, loving husband, and proud grandfather. He was known above all for his kindness. Lillo welcomed everyone with open arms, no matter the time or day. He had a rare gift for making friends wherever he went, and everyone he met loved him deeply. He would literally give the shirt off his back for any of his friends or family. He loved going fishing, going out, and shopping, and especially enjoyed exploring new Italian markets that reminded him of the foods from his hometown where he grew up. He also had a deep passion for singing and listening to opera, and those who heard him sing knew he had an exceptional tenor voice. Lillo loved relaxing with a good show or movie and was always eager to hear new recommendations on what to watch next. Family was the center of his world, and he never missed an opportunity to be part of anything his family asked of him, especially when it meant spending time together and trying new restaurants. He is survived by his beloved wife, Provvidenza (Enza) Giorgi; his children, Angelina Caradonna and her husband Rosario (Roy) Caradonna, and Maria Poteat and her husband Raheen Poteat; his cherished grandchildren, Christina, Daniella, Sofia, and Jada; his brother, Francesco Giorgi; and his two beloved dogs, Leo and Luna, whom he loved dearly. A wake and service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, located at 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family forever shaped by his love.
