William “Bill” Budesa, 75, passed away on November 29, 2025 at 7:11am, in Rockledge, Florida.
Born on March 28, 1950, in the Bronx, New York, Bill lived a life marked by dedication to his craft, deep love for his family, and an unwavering work ethic that defined him throughout the years.
Bill was baptized at the Church of S.S. Peter and Paul in the Bronx shortly after birth and remained a member of the Catholic Church throughout his life.
He graduated from Aviation High School in Queens, New York, on June 11, 1968, a fitting start for someone whose interests would span both mechanical precision and creative craftsmanship.
His early passion for aviation led him to earn his student pilot certification on July 21, 1973.
However, it was on the ground where Bill truly made his mark. A skilled mechanic in both the automotive and marine fields, he also mastered woodworking and plumbing.
His talents extended into design as well, particularly HVAC systems, culminating in a role with Space Gateway Support at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
In addition to his technical expertise, Bill also became a certified building contractor as of November 20, 2008.
The following year, in 2009, he founded Cape Canaveral Construction, a business that reflected not only his professional acumen but also his entrepreneurial spirit.
As a general construction contractor and business owner, he built more than structures; he built trust and respect within his community.
Bill’s personal life was anchored by deep familial bonds.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Cheryl Budesa; daughters Jasmin Koehler, Matty Budesa, and Melissa Budesa; son Michael McCommon; grandson Liam Jefferson; sisters Helen Budesa, Jeannie Budesa and Anne Budesa Palen; and brothers Robert (Bobby) Budesa, Michael Budesa, and Samuel (Sammy) Budesa.
He joins in eternal rest his father Samuel Budesa; mother Francis Budesa (Russell); sister Mary Budesa; and brother Francis (Frankie) Budesa.
Beyond work and family responsibilities, Bill found joy in hands-on hobbies that reflected both patience and creativity.
He spent countless hours woodworking and painting, crafting pieces that were as enduring as they were beautiful.
He also enjoyed puzzles and building model airplanes and cars, activities that echoed the precision he brought to every aspect of his life.
Those who knew Bill remember him as a hardworking man with a heart of gold hidden beneath a tough exterior.
A proud father and devoted patriarch, he was loved by many for his charm and caring nature.
His legacy lives on not only through the structures he built, but through the lives he touched with quiet strength and steadfast love.
May William “Bill” Budesa’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire those who carry forward his values of dedication, resilience, and love for family.
A memorial service is currently being scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, with a time and location still to be finalized.
